Joséphine

« Je n'ai pas passé un jour sans t'aimer
Je n'ai pas passé une nuit sans
te serrer dans mes bras»

«I have never spent a single day without loving you;
I have never spent a single night without holding you in my arms»
[Napoleon à Joséphine, 1799]

The mysterious charm of a voyage to Istanbul, between East and West. An immersion into floral notes and spicy atmospheres, surrounded by flowers, velvet and incense resin.

Joséphine: A Spell At The Gateway To Oriental Lands

A woman whose appeal has become legend. In her blood the rhythm of Martinique, in her eyes the grace of the flowers of France. She cast a spell upon the most celebrated leader of her time: everywhere he goes, Napoleon writes her of sleepless nights and passion.

She, she is in a Parisian boudoir, or maybe has just landed at Istabul. Maybe she is looking at a magic sunset upon Bosphorus, at the gateway between the ancient West and the mysterious East.
Surrounded by velvet fabrics and gilt mirrors, in a secret chamber Joséphine casts her spell once again: Bulgarian roses, French violets… a hint of pepper and incense, just brought on camel’s back from the Spice Route.

In the potion, golden glares are sealed by a rosy silk thread: one more knot, and a faraway heart is bound forever.

Joséphine Eau De Parfum: Between Europe and The Spice Route

The intensity of Spring blossoms and the seduction of exotic notes, together with the richness of fruits and woods, create a bouquet which is an invitation to sensuality, in an atmosphere of lavish elegance.
François Rancé dedicated this perfume to Napoleon’s most beloved woman.

Today, Joséphine comes back as a floriental fragrance, subtle and mysterious.

The captivating sweetness of Bulgarian rose, combined with violet, creates in the opening a sophisticated bouquet of fresh flowers, with touches of red currant.
Vanilla flowers, warm and enthralling, are mixed with opoponax and pink pepper in the perfume’s heart.

The base, soft like velvet thanks to musk, is warmed by the woody and resinous scent of incense from Oman.

The passionate words of Napoleon are a perfect frame for this fascinating fragrance. Discover the hidden lines written within the perfume box!
